Statement

My prints, generally contain several elements that ask the viewer to question the context of their combined meaning. I want a certain ambiguity to be present so that the viewer will be encouraged to think about the possible narratives. They pose questions that inhabit the gap between the meaning of symbols and the content of perception. The relatively small size invites the viewer to come closer and enjoy the always enigmatic circumstance of metaphor and meaning. I use computer technology and digital software to create my images. Digital Imaging provides tools to modulate color, create texture, change size and placement, and to control transparency that are nonexistent in any other print process. I take full advantage of digital layering and my work generally contains very dense and rich surfaces. My images are printed using archival pigment inks on 100% cotton rag Epson Hot Press paper and are generally produced in an edition of ten prints.
